Failed to start recording issues with OBS

Hi there, i got an issue with obs whenever start rec with H264 and i really need some help cause i need to streaming and stuff too, and i really need help.


here's my log.
System:

• HP Victus 15-fb2063dx
• AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS
• AMD Radeon RX 6550M + Radeon 680M
• Windows 11 25H2
• OBS Studio 32.1.2

Issue:
OBS detects both AMD hardware encoders:

• AMD HW H.264 (AVC)
• AMD HW H.265 (HEVC)

However, starting recording or streaming with AMD H.264 fails.
Relevant log entries:
amf_avc_create_texencode: Wrong adapter
amf_create_encoder: CreateComponent failed: AMF_CODEC_NOT_SUPPORTED

Software encoding (x264) works normally.

Actions already tried:

• Reinstalled AMD drivers using AMD Cleanup Utility
• Ran OBS as Administrator
• Disconnected external monitor
• Set OBS to High Performance GPU in Windows Graphics Settings
• Reinstalled OBS

The issue persists.
How do i fix this??

Looking at the specs for the 6550M, I don't see an encoder. Fairly certain, you will need to encode with your iGPU. I also would back off that 120HZ refresh rate & just run 60HZ.
