atkAudio Plugin

atkAudio Plugin 0.35.0

thats odd, since it was regression of previous issue, and after the fix it's working again, at least here
I've setup a portable version of 33.0.0-rc1 with the only plugin being the latest atkAudio 0.35.0 and I'm still getting the choppy sound. What version of VLC media player are you using? I can't think of any other variables.

Hi,

Can we have labels for the midi control mappings?

I'm using your midi control to map a korg nanoKontrol2 with 8 banks of fader, knob, mute, record and solo controls as well as media controls, marker, cycle etc..

In some cases one control is mapped multiple times across a number of scenes leaving me with over 40 mappings to keep track of and know which one to select when I need to clone from one or change one. Can we have a label field so I can say "Fader 1", or "Next Track Scene 3" vs "Next Track Scene 5"?

regards,

David

https://github.com/atkAudio/PluginForObsRelease/releases/tag/0.35.0 try this, updated with label field.

The plugin seems to be preventing my OBS (latest versions of both, btw) from starting up after a recent Windows 11 update.

Only suspicious thing I can find in the OBS log is "20:37:07.518: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'atkaudio-pluginforobs.dll'" but that file seemingly hasn't been modified on my PC since August.

UPDATE:
It seems to be conflicting with VoiceMeeter somehow, as closing that makes it work

I've just seen it and will test it out later but I'm also having another issue.

I have two scenes with slideshows which I am controlling using Advanced Scene switcher macros that are registered as OBS hotkeys.

I use the same group of MIDI controls for both slides to hide/show the slide show, go forward and go back. So three MIDI controls are mapped to two different hotkeys.

The issue is that the mapping to the Hotkey target looks to be changing. After I close OBS (or it crashes) the MIDI controls no longer work. Upon reopening OBS the controls look to be mapping to the wrong Hotkey but I can't easily see that as the column width is to small to see what it is current mapped to. When I select the Action to see the full description width it then sometimes jumps to a different obviously incorrect Hotkey in the drop down list.

Additionally, some things have made debugging this from my end very painful such as

Not being able to see if the MIDI control is being responded to by the MIDI plugin and which mappings it is running including the actions performed.
Not being able to easily confirm the mappings by the columns being too narrow.
Not seeing related controls together in the list.

So can we please have
1. A scrolling list of MIDI control actions where I can see the control and label pressed and the Action taken
2. Mouse re-sizeable columns?
3. The ability to move mappings up and down to group together related controls. When I've cloned a mapping the new mapping stays below the existing one but I want it next to the other mappings for the other slide show?

I can also foresee that I will want to be able to Save selected mappings and append mappings that I load.

Not withstanding this it is a great product both in the MIDI side and the Audio side.

David

LOL. I see you read my mind on Point 1. Thank you, and no crashes so far. I also saw the hint that I need to re-select the macro for some of them. What circumstances lead to that happening?

And you have already implemented point 2 - resizable columns which helped me see the following.

So I'm loading a saved map with 9 hotkeys mapped along with a lot of other controls. Pressing one of the hotkey controls runs the wrong macro, not the one displayed in the table. When I click on the macro the drop down list then highlights the macro that was actually run. So the macros aren't being loaded correctly.

I've also tried loading the mapping then closing OBS. When I reopen OBS and the MIDI control is see "reselect required" for all my hotkey mappings. I then have to select the same hot keys as was named in the JSON

the hotkeys were previously resolved with numeric IDs, which can change during runtime, i.e. be non-persistent. They are now name-based, but you need to remap/reselect the hotkey mappings so they get updated to name-based resolving.
